Pretty Quiet

I have been pretty quiet lately.  I have been doing some consulting for Multnomah County in Portland Oregon for the last 8 months or so.  I will finish up at the end of March (March 19th).  So I am finally taking some time to get caught up on some blogging and open source projects I had been working on.

The project with the county has been working on the WCF service layer and silver light model layer for a line of business application.  We have ended doing most of the actual development using a set of custom T4’s and code generating almost all of the application for these areas.  Pretty cool technology.

By combing Prisim, WCF, Code Generation and Linq to SQL we were able to significantly decrease the amount of time it took to create the application.  I will be presenting on these techniques and some lessons learned at the Boise Code Camp at the end of March.

It has made for an interesting time over the last 8 months :-).
